I'm thinking of ordering a green hi viz fiber optic front sight for my Ruger LCR 357. I am looking for info from anyone who has one of these.

How do these hold up on a carry gun?
Also do you feel they are a good addition to A carry gun? I looked at a S&W 340 that has one of these and I really liked it,but am just concered about durrability. Thanks for any help with this.

You can mash up the toughest sight on a handgun if you get careless and drop it on concrete. How well they hold up will mostly depend upon how rough you are on your equipment.

IMO a Tritium illuminated night sight is more useful on a defensive handgun likely to be used in low light conditions rather than a high vis day light sight.

Yea works great, I've had one on mine since I got it years ago. Durable enough if you keep it holstered most of the time, if you use it as a tack hammer I'd imagine it would suffer. And seeing how it works by gathering available light and concentrating it, even it low light situations it helps. The light tube does help you orient the gun as well as it's easily seen. I practice snap shots with it and it helps quite a bit.

Anriquus it would be holstered in a galco tuck n go iwb holster or a desantis pocket holster. So I would Imagine it should serve me well. Thanks for the reply and do you have the green or red one?,I'm going with the green one.

The first thing I did after buying and firing my LCR, was purchase and install the Hi-viz front site.

It has held up answer performed as expected.
