Offfhand, very nice wood indeed! You've posted pics of left-handed and right-handed guns--do you shoot both ways?

A truly high-end .22 rifle--not mine, of course, for I can't afford a $25,000 rifle--for your enjoyment. Metal work by Jack Belk, stocked by Maurice Ottmar, engraved by Eric Gold, this incredible custom Springfield .22 was built in 1993 for the American Custom Gunmakers Guild's rifle raffle No.9.
Maurice Ottmar was certainly the right guy at the right time to do the stock for the Guild raffle. In my opinion his work ranks among the very top custom stockmakers, both in terms of craftsmanship and creative originality. Here is the remarkable checkering on a rifle he did for me. Wish I had commissioned more work from him.

Offfhand, yet another beauty! One of Ottmar's signature motifs was a checkering job in which the checkering within the ribbon was finer than the checkering surrounding the ribbon, just as on your rifle. I have had the pleasure of examining a couple of rifles stocked by Maurice Ottmar, and your assessment is spot on--he does rank among the world's best. Thank you for posting that wonderful pic of your Ottmar custom.

The southpaws belong to my left-handed neighbor, who brought them over to photograph under my lights. He is also a collector of custom guns (Outstanding collection of left-hand centerfires.) so we are a good (or bad) influence on each other. The crown jewel of his .22 collection (Or any other such collection I've ever seen.) is shown here. Among the extraordinary features of this rifle is the M-52 Win. action converged to LEFT HAND! I have more shots of this rifle (And other rifles)to post if there is any interest.. DSC_0146.JPG DSC_0167.JPG DSC_0175.JPG DSC_0172.JPG

Wow!!!! I don't even know where to start...what a beautiful M52! Can you tell us who did the work on that one? Post as many pictures as you'd like, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see more high-end rimfire rifle goodness.

These are all beautiful guns. I had a Winchester 52B and a Anschutz 1413 a lifetime ago when I shot smallbore. Just starting to get an interest in it again so maybe I will have a .22 worthy of being in this thread soon.

That's the great thing about shooting .22 rifles--you never outgrow them!

Well, lol, I'll have another soon I hope, found a valmet m45 on gb that had a rough stock that was missing parts as well as the rear diopter. But, I found near mint stock and rear sight on eBay that I'm 95% sure will fit it... hopefully I will have everything in the near future and get her shooting again.

Ok, so somewhat related to this thread. Any idea what this is? The owner says it is a 50's or 60's Anschutz, .22 caliber, German made. EnUoIud.jpg

It's a low end Anschutz. Single shot or repeater? If I were to hazard a guess, it would be model 1361 (single shot), or model 1415 (repeater). These are the Flobert-actioned Anschutz rifles, and not the higher grade models 64 and 54. Hope this helps.
