I've noticed that most of the IWB stocking items (meaning non-custom models) are leather, and I've been very pleased with my Split Decision model. But all of the OWB stocking items are made of "a specially extruded material" which I take it means some sort of vinyl...? Anybody have experience with these?

    For an example, click here

For $50 a pop, I would hope they would at least be halfway decent...

Not a dud of a question, I just don't have any experience with the "skin" models.

I really like High Noon and their products. I have a "Slide Guard" and a "Tiebreaker" mag pouch. Both are great products and the company has been a pleasure to do business with. However, the "skin" line looks like something I would use as a stop gap while I wait on my regular High Noon holster.

I spend some time on the "net" defending High Noon products after some guy will invariably say he had a High Noon and their holsters are soft and poorly molded compared to their Kramer (or you name the maker) holster. After some prodding he'll eventually say it was one of the "Skin" line of holsters. That is an apples to oranges comparison and just not fair.

I am unfamilar with the owb holsters. I have their IWB for every handgun that I own that they offer one for and am pleased. If you buy it and dont like it they have a return policy.

I've used the Skin holsters, and while the material is good stuff, I prefer leather. My best OWB rig will always be this Slide Guard. :)

Same gun in a Skin Guard of the laminate, softer and floppier, but very workable rig. I just like leather better.
