With the rear sight on my two ROA's all the way at the bottom, my revolvers still shoot maybe 8 inches high at 75 feet or so. Anybody able to share a factory part number for a higher ramp front sight I can order please? Thanks. Don

The higher front sight is for the stainless .45 Colt Blackhawk. It will only work on a stainless Old Army where you can drive the pin out and replace it with the higher one
However, there is bad news. When I tried to order the Blackhawk blade about 7 mos. ago, they didn't have any at Ruger and most likely still don't. I eventually had to use 1/8th inch thick piece of flat stock and cut a piece, reshape it, tap a hole and pin it. I also cut the notch on the rear sight down as far as possible. Now I have one that is plenty high and still have adjustment left in my rear sight. It is probably the way you'll have to do it too. It wasn't difficult .. just time consuming.

Thanks. I went out in the shop before posting this and miked samples of all the flat stock I have in steel, brass and aluminum but I have no .125 thickness. A good friend shooting buddy told me about deepening the rear blade and I will if there's no other option, but I wanted to first see if I could buy a drop-in solution. My fondest wish would be a gold bead front sight, but figure I'd be wasting my time even looking.....Don

The piece I used was labeled as 1/8" but measured less. After pinning, it wobbled slightly so I removed it and epoxied it in the vertical position. It hasn't moved since and I've shot it quite a bit. I don't baby my guns.

It is possible Tallbald that Brownell's may have that Blackhawk blade for ya.
I'd have searched for you but thier website drives me nuts and thier ctalog is economicaly dangerous for me to open.:uhoh::D
