There are numerous reports of shooters having 100,000+ rounds through a 9mm(Glock 17). Are there people out there that have or know of high round counts out of a .40 cal Glock? Is the .40sw that much more abusive to parts than a 9mm?

The reason I ask this is because I'd like to determine the longevity of a Glock platform in .40. I would imagine if the gun could function without catastrophic trouble for 50,000+rounds, it's done its job. Anything extra is just super!

If you want a .40, get the 22. IF there is any difference compared to a 17, it won't be significant. Go for the caliber you desire.

A Glock 22 will easily go at least 50,000 rounds but you will probably encounter some broken locking blocks and pins along the way.
