current results (as of 1833hrs, EDT):
yes: 25%
no: 71%
don't know: 4%

I just hit it.

As an aside:
I make a habit of going to the poll site, copying the address, then pasting the address into a new session. I believe that'll keep 'em from noticing a bunch of THR "referrals" (sp?).

So, to the geeks - is the above practice worthwhile, or does it work but not worth it 'cause nobody checks the referring site, or it doesn't work to hide the "I came from here" field or I should get a tinfoil hat?

You are now being returned to your regular thread.

As a geek, yes using, pasting the link instead of clicking on it may be a good idea. I'd imagine THR is now their #1 referral site behind any search engines out there from our doing. I never really thought of it.

Referrals are used fairly often and kept track of by even the most basic logging analyzer software out there. That's why you see people make non-clickable links to Democratic Underground threads and such.

Heck, even I track it for my own blog.

Yep, I'm a computer geek. Seems they screwed something up on their form.

Bah, if you're a real geek, you should know that laziness is a virtue and thus my switch to links was more efficient. ;-P

(Although I have to admit that's more of a ruboff of being a Perl programmer than a geek, heh.)

This is not the only gun friendly site to have a link to this or the other current polls. I have been visiting via all of them and from outside, we all share in the "turnaround to common sense"...

Yes: 24%
No: 72%
Clueless: 4%

The bozo who wrote that site made it so that it won't work with Mozilla. You'll get some M$ database error. It will work with Opera, however.

I just voted. At the time of my voting:

24% = Yes
72% = No
4% = Don't know

(and just why the hell would you bother to click anything if you don't know?)
