HK 91 to begin production in USA for civi sales

I just found out the HK rep told Jim at The Bullet Hole that they have moved the HK 91 tooling from Brazil to the US and will begin production for domestic sales ASAP.

Sounds odd, Brazil uses Imbel made FALs. Maybe the guy got the wrong country, maybe he meant Mexico.

Anyway there is also rumors that POF is making US made receivers from Pakistan, and I heard they are really close to HK.

I'm not entirely convinced either, but it would be nice if HK took some interest in us poor peasants. Just passing on what I heard. They might have heard it wrong or I might have heard it wrong but there it is in all questionable glory

As stated at HKPRO, maybe they meant JLD's use of Portuguese HK tooling? To the best of my knowledge, Brazil is neither a licensee nor user of HK products.

POF has hinted at importing some stuff, perhaps as 80% receivers.
