I saw that HK is now making a single fire only variant of the MP5 and it has been designated the MP5 SFA. Are these available for civilan purchase? I would think that would be classified as a pistol, but I cannot find it for sale anywhere. Thanks.

Try asking over at HKPro.com, they will probably have an answer for you.

    My guess would be no.

I would LIKE to think that HK is smart enough to make millions off civilian sales, but I doubt it. They haven't shown any desire to be on our side, other than to take our money for slightly more politically correct handguns.

What you're looking for here and in other threads doesn't exist for you as a civilian buyer.

The '89 import ban killed the civilianized HK-94.

The SFA sold to LEOs and gov't agencies still has a MG reciever, with pushpin lower.
