I didn't even realize the trigger on my newly acquired (used) P5 had serrations on the trigger... I just got up and looked.. You're right.
Surprisingly, so far in my limited shooting of the P5 the trigger serrations just haven't been a factor.
That's kind of funny too, as I have several Colt & S&W snubby's and all of the older revolvers have serrations which I'm not fond of, while my newer 638 Airweight Bodyguard comes from S&W with a nice, wide, smooth "target trigger"... FWIW the serrations on the Walther P5 are very shallow (less invasive?) in comparison to the J-frame & D frame revolvers trigger.
