I am looking for a mp5 style gun. I saw the HK USC and was intrigued. Does anyone know any other quality sub machine gun style guns which are legal for purchase?

If by submachine gun "style" you mean semi-auto, then they are all legal for purchase. THe HK USC, The Beretta pistol caliber caribines, AR's chambered in pistol calibers, etc...

Do you know if there is a civilian version of the mp5?

The ones that are available currently are garbage, bobcat arms or whatever they have recently changed their name too. I'm sure someone will chime in on that. Keep in mind it would have to have a 16" BBL, unless you sbr it.
