I have gotten busy as hell lately and my hog hunting has slowed down which kinda sucks, but I did take this 250lb sow a couple of months ago on my first hunt with my new Marlin .30-30. 1 shot at 150 yards across an open pasture. She hit the dirt right where she stood. Nice performance on the rifles part but that was a little too easy! Nice work with that BP rifle txcookie :)

Oh man, you got me all anxious. I'm heading to Eastern Carolina (Goldsboro area) next week for some feral swine shooting fun. Bringing a .30-30 and a Ruger Blackhawk in 45lc (just rolled some H4227 with .300 gr Sierra Sportmaster JSPs.

I am SO jelous, I have some friends that have hunted hog and wont stop bragging about it. However hogs in Oregon are pretty much a myth at this point. I spoke with fish and wildlife and their position is "yea there are hogs in Oregon but the guys who know where they are want to hunt them so they wont tell anybody, and we are ok with that since it means they get hunted quickly and thus not an issue"
