Went to an auction yesterday to snag a work truck. The small town Chief of Police decided that he would clean out the evidence locker and auction off the guns.
Needless to say I didn't get the truck, but came back with 3 guns. (1) Glock 22 LEO trade-in (2) S&W Mod 19 no dash 4" blue excellent cond. (3) Browning Hi Power with original German late war issue holster with original magazines (German stamped). The Hi Power serial number is...wait for it....3 DIGITS. Tanget sights, slotted for stock, all numbers match, Belguim proof marks (not German occupation stamps). I think this was a "bring back" gun that was issued to the German army after they overran Belguim. They issued all the guns in the warehouse and on the factory floor without German markings. There is stamped on the backstrap, above the slot "E.V." that makes for more research.I think for $525.00 it's worth it. Hogs and acorns....hogs and acorns.
