I just bought myself an SP101, and I'm looking at getting some different grips for it. I really like the grips on the S&W carry guns, but I didn't want to pay an extra $200 for something that was a bit smaller than what I wanted.

I've seen the Hogue grips, and I've only heard reviews on the rubber version. The reviewers said that (compared to the normal grip), the Hogue grip was good for shooting (good grip, solid recoil reduction) but bad for carrying (bit thicker, rubber tends to grab on clothing).

Does anyone know how the nylon grip compares to either the rubber hogue grip or the stock SP101 grip? I'm looking for something for CCW, so I'm looking at these factors in this order:
Does it grip clothing?
How thick is it?
How easy can a human hand grip it?
How does recoil feel?

The Hogue nylon grips are identical in size and shape to the soft rubber models. I bought one for my GP 100 because i wanted to fit the grip to my hand. Recoil wasn't much different than the rubber Hogues that were on it from the factory. It does not grip clothing like the rubber offerings imho.
