Hogue slip on sleeve for revolvers?

I wonder if anyone ever tried to put one of these on a revolver grip. I have had one on my semi auto 40 for a decade and it's still holding up great. I don't really want to mess with that one since it is on pretty good to give it a try but I might if I have to.
I'd like to give this a try over a J frame revolver Pachmayr grip and wondered if anyone ever gave this a try. I could trim it, turn it up side down. no problem.

I am not a fan of these on anything. Then tend to slip up and interfere with magazine releases or slip down and interfere with magazine seating on autos. Why not try a set of Hogue or Pachmyrs on the revolver instead?
