Hollywood & Your Guns ???

I could have sworn that I read either on this forum or on another that Lethal Weapon and Die Hard had an influence on the military's choice of what 9 to replace the 1911. I'm not sure if it is true. I know, I know...probably not, but you never know.

I have a Pedersoli Quigley rifle. Gets me excited just thinking about it.....

I want a Mateba like whatshisname has in the Ghost in the Shell series, the Walther 2000 in "Living Daylights", S&W 29 in Dirty Harry (something I'm actually close to getting), a Walther PPK like James Bond, and I have ALWAYS wanted a long slide 1911 with a behemoth laser sight like the Terminator!!

I'm still trying to get my hands on an FNC after watching Heat....

Yup, that's why I bought my Desert Eagle .44 mag and had it refinished chrome over blue.

I want a pair of those 30-shot 1911's Bruce Willis used in Last Man Standing.

Not a movie, but a computer game. Counter Strike. I've wanted a FiveseveN very badly since late 2000, before they were sold to civilians.

I don't care too much about movies, and hence I'm not too influences in that regard, but you bastards here on THR influence me to spend my money all the time on fine shootables all the time.

I must admit I was very, VERY pleased to see that in an ad for the new PC game "Battlefield 2" (sequel to Battlefield 1942) the Chinese side uses Norinco 86S's as the standard rifle.

I would be over-joyed if it created interest in my rare rifle.

I want a John Wayne Colt SAA 37-shooter. You can fire it from a galloping horse and every shot kills at least 2 Indians or outlaws.
