Just bent this for my brother, who doesn't know he owns an ROA yet. Seriously overbuilt from 12-14 oz. saddle skirting, and saddle stitched by hand. Finished with Feibing's Oil Dye, Saddle Tan, the top coated with saddle soap. I also rubbed a layer of Sno-Seal on the flesh side before stitching it up. It passes the "upside-down shake" retention test.

The belt slide allows for strong side or crossdraw carry, somewhat copied from (OK, shamelessly pilfered from) the Bianchi Cyclone. The slide itself is 14 oz. latigo.

I was going for a fairly authentic look, with the benefit of an updated dual-carry option. I think I hit that mark OK. I cut out two of these, so after this one goes to my brother and I knock out some other pending projects, I may be posting another version of this holster. Maybe in black, with Mexican peso conchos.......

Thanks! My Dad got me started when I was young, and have his tools today; there's nothing like the older Craftools for definition and consistency. Here's a couple more-

High-ride thumb break rig for a Taurus 85.

A Mexican loop holster for a Vaquero, and a Slim Jim for my beloved '58 NA repro.

A buckskin war case for my Hawken; did the beaded rosette, too.
