    Hello,

I just bought a Kahr PM9 for concealed carry. I am looking for an IWB holster to be worn behind the hip. I'd like the backing of the holster to be either horsehide or cowhide. I want it to be easy to remove from my belt without having to remove the belt. The holster itself could be either leather or kydex.

    I'd appreciate everyone's suggestions.

I've been wearing my Crossbreed more and more lately for my PM9 and PM40, both with Crimson Trace, and I'm kinda liking the IWB because if frees up my right front jeans pocket.

The Desantis Sof-Tuck is an option, and I would use it with a forward cant to get it to sit lower and be more stable. It's leather, though I usually take the second layer off the top of the ones I've used to make it slimmer and softer.

I have an IWB from RKBA holsters that I bought before the current site is as it is now, it was more of an email, describe what you want and order thing. Looking at the site now, mine is essentially the IWB tuckable without being tuckable. I have been using it for years now with no issue and have their iwb tuckable for my kahr 380.

The Kahr PM9 seems like such a small gun to use those big footprint hybrid holsters like the Crossbreed Supertuck ( http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/H...ewer/tabid/112/slug/iwb-holsters/Default.aspx ) which is what it sounds like you want.

A much more compact holster seems like a better idea for such a small gun.

Something like the Mitch Rosen Workman http://www.mitchrosen.com/products/holsters/inside-waistband-holsters/

    or the Aholster Pwii http://shop.aholster.com/product.sc...CEFD3.m1plqscsfapp03?productId=5&categoryId=1

seem like much better options. There are many other's like those above, if that's what you may want to consider.

I made my own because my gun has a CT laser under the trigger. I have enjoyed learning to make holsters---they aren't pretty but they seem to work just great.

My PM9 rides in a Silent Thunder with black backing leather. I like the Solo model much better.

    Choices....

For a belt holster made of leather, Id consider the great Wright Leather Works, www.wrightleatherworks.com . I like the Predator line. I regret not buying a holster from them before they raised prices & added the company logo. :(
They may remove it if you ask nicely, :D .
Horsehide might be available too from other high end makers.
Id contact any shop or holster maker first, to insure they offer that model firearm or style. Some holster makers are slow or have 100s of orders on backlog. A custom or high end(well known) holster maker may be a few months.

I took a Remora and put a clip on it, it can either go IWB, or in the pocket.
Blue locktight holds the clip forever. It's permanent

    All,

So far I really like the holster. I am still playing with the tension adjustment and will apply some blue loc-tite once I have it right.

Tried to post pictures but apparently I having a missing security token.

If you haven't tried a Remora, you should, it's not leather, but is soft. The rubber is painless and conforms to your body and won't slip out or down, I have about 6 of them and have used them for many years. The good thing is you can move it from your front to your back or even stick it in your pocket for different situations.
They finally made one with a clip "which I did myself" thus you have double security, inexpensive and durable.
PS: I have carried a PM9 for 5 yrs, and it has never come out of that holster which sits in my pocket all day, and goes over the liver IWB at night.
