Hi, I purchased a Star BM 9mm pistol yesteday at the richmond showplace gun show. I haven't made it to the range yet, but the ergonomics and the trigger on this gun are phenomonal. I have been reading range reports and reviews from various people about takedown and ammo preferences, but no one seems to mention what kind of holster they use. Im looking for two holsters, a iwb tuckable, and a shoulder rig. I would prefer the iwb to be kydex, and the shoulder rig I could go either way. I would like the holsters to take advantage of the guns extreme thinness., hence the tuckable rig and a shoulder holster.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that star bms fit into kahr k9 holsters. Is this only true for the leather ones? I am emailing gunners alley about thier fist holsters fitting, but does anyone else have any other options? Thanks, and Ill post a range report later.

I've found that holsters designed for the Colt Commander with 3.5" barrel tend to fit well. I have a paddle/belt slide convertable Don Hume for a 3.5" Commander and the Star fits it well.

I like my Star BM as well. It's a good shooter.

Thanks for the tip. Ill start looking around at colt commander holsters. Has anyone heard if kahr k9 or t9 holsters work?

I use an inexpensive Bagmaster IWB that was designed for a PPK size gun and it fits fairly well. All the holsters that I have tried for my StarBM seem to be a bit wide for this very thin gun.

p.s. I really enjoyed the Richmond show. Took an Ar180b and ammo home from that one.
