    hello,
I have a witness 10mm that i use for backpacking and as a b.u.g. for hunting, and would like to get a decent holster for it. I know it's based on the CZ pistols, but don't know if the sizes are the same. will most holsters built for the CZ 75 work, or no. what do you use?

    holster maker

I'm meeting with a holster maker on Wednesday to have him make a belt, double mag pouch and holster for my Tanfoglio in .45acp. He specializes in SAAS stuff, but does beautiful work, at reasonable prices with good turnaround times. He does not currently have a mold for the Tanfoglio, but will after I meet with him.
If you'd like I can post the results of our discussion after we talk.
He has a really crappy web site, but the addy is http://www.saguarogunleather.com/
I've known the guy about five years and can vouch for his quality. He expects to get me my completed rig in two to three weeks.
For concealment I usually go with Milt Sparks, but the turnaround time there is about six months right now. And, I'm looking for a belt slide holster because I don't want to worry about concealing that 50-pound Tanfoglio.
BTW, my Tanfoglio fits nicely into the molded leather holster I have for my Sig P220 (without rails). I just want something kind of fancy for this gun. Will get his model 1009...
Gonna be my new IDPA rig.

    Holster ready already

I met with Tom Dyer, the holster maker who is Saguaro Leather, on Nov. 30 and ordered my custom made holster for my Tanfoglio. He is making a holster, belt and mag holders for my .45. I dropped by today (Dec. 7) to talk to him about some other things and to my surprise the holster was ready. I pick up the belt and mag pouches next week, but was pleased enough with the holster I thought I'd post pix. It's a perfect fit on the Tanfoglio. Snug, but not too tight with the 15-degree cant I ordered.
Got to say I'm very happy. Eight days from the time I placed the order. Holster was $65 and custom tool work ran another $65.

Tom Dyer has a stellar rep in the SASS community. Besides, he's from my ol' home town. :D He makes excellent, high quality holsters.

Haven't gotten around to the final post about holster rig yet, so thought I'd take care of it now.
Picked up the rest of the rig, belt and dual mag case, about Dec. 15.
Suffice to say belt and mag pouch were equal to the quality of the holster.
Turnaround time was about three weeks for the whole rig. Price for holster (including tooling), belt (including tooling) and mag pouch was $170. (Think I may have gotten a better-than-usual price because we sit and BS for a couple hours every time I see him, but one way or another, I'll take it.)
Needless to say, I will be going back to Mr. Dyer.

Added note: K-man, if you read this please send me a message or e-mail. Tom Dyer would like me to send you his e-mail address. Said he would like to get in touch.
