    Hey guys,

I've got a Savage Mk II FV, but the comb drop is meant for irons even though there are no irons on the rifle as it's meant for an optic.

Anyways, what are good materials that you can use to stack on the comb to make a cheek riser? Do you just use sponges or foam and wrap it with cloth tape? Is there an official way to do this?

DIY with foam and tape, or carve a piece of wood similar to the No4(T) Enfield. Several aftermarket devises, screw/bolt on or strap on.

Czechmauseritis makes very nice leather pads, outstanding custom work. I have two of his pads and they are fantastic.
