Think way, way back to 2004. Ah yes if I could only get all that time that I spent reading about the 6.8 and 6.5 back. Anyway, I remember that the Hornady 115 OTM was the best performer.

Now I see a 110 BTHP 6.8 load advertised. I assume that it's the same bullet that Zak used in his Stag Model 5 review last year.

The problem is I can't find either bullet on Hornadys or Midways site. Only the V-MAX and the 110 FBHP.

Did Hornady cancel the 115 and 110 grain OTMs? Did they ever sell them as a component? Where can the bullets be purchased?

As best I can tell, Hornady has stopped making their 115gr HPBT .277 bullet. I bought 4000 of 'em when MidwayUSA was blowing them out for $11/100. They still offer the Hornady 110gr OTM bullet - Kotonics was stocking them recently.

Many folk that go hunting are using the Barnes, with mixed success (sometimes the bullet fails to expand). The Sierra 110gr ProHunter is also fairly popular for hunting use. The most popular social loads seem to center around the Hornady 110gr VMax. KoTonics also has a 115gr Sierra OTM MK with a cannelure that looks very promising for target/social work.
