The title of my thread says it all. Hornady 9mm 124gr XTP at Cabelas. No limits.
I've been hunting for these or Speer Gold Dots for 10 months. I bought gobs last night and I see they are still available right now. Let us know if you got in on it too.

I load those or the Gold Dots with a stout charge of Longshot, this makes for some serious self defense loads. I don't remember what the velocities have been with that combination, but I know it's nothing to sneeze at. I can remember what the 147's have been pushing, which is about 1050 fps, so I know the 124's are really getting out there quick.

I've been trying to keep an eye out for 200 or 230gr .451XTPs but the one time I could find them the last few months I didn't have money in the component fund. Sigh. Might have to buy a set of Hornady dies just to get some.

I get a very consistent 1200 fps from my Beretta.

Thanks Guy, I've been waiting since last January to find some of these. I'm running about 1150 fps through a M&P Pro with AA7...it's a nice load.

Oh ya, AA#7 should perform very well for those, and will probably produce similar results as Longshot does.

    GS,
Hodgdon should throw you a few free jugs of Longshot here and there- you're one of their biggest spokesmen! PH

No kidding Potatohead, I am no doubt one of their most loyal Longshot customers. And one more positive thing, is when the shelves have been all but empty, I can always seem to find Longshot and 296 / H110 on the shelf, which are the two powders I use the most of. But it's a simple explanation for me, I like stout handgun loads, hate dealing with spikey powders, and I like powders that fill the case up real good.

Ultratec, I didn't like 19.99 a 100 either but they haven't been less than 17.99 anywhere for since before Obama was elected. But I'll most likely never have to buy another one as long as I live.
    ......only 12 boxes? ;)

1SOW, I saw CCI Stingers on the shelf at Wal Mart yesterday as well. I have a small toolbox full of Stinger, Velocitor and Mini Mags so I left them for the other guy but I smell 22 coming back as well.
In the last 2 or 3 weeks I've loaded up on Varget, TiteGroup and 4831. In the same time frame I've purchased **** primers. It's a good thing too because I shoot a lot.
I'm glad you got some bullets.

I bought them in 2011 from Cabelas and at the time didn't think that I needed more, oh how dumb that was.

I saw all this in 08'. I still managed to get what I needed but I've been stocking up just in case it happens again.
