I have been a little busy lately doing house remodeling and have not been on the forum much. Now a really bad health issue has hit my family.

After a doc appt. today, my youngest daughter has been scheduled to see a pediatric cardiologist at Childrens in Oklahoma City. The earliest the appt. could be made is on the 31st of this month. She is a little upset she might miss trick or treating as we live about 2 hours away from the appt. address and have no idea when we'll make it home.

She is 6 years old and has been really energetic and outgoing until having a nasty virus recently. Please keep her in your thoughts on the 31st, she is too young for this.

This is not the greatest pic of her, but a good smile.

Thank you to all concerned.

That is indeed a disappointment. She's a very pretty little girl, and I hope everything goes well. Having been through cancer treatment myself quite recently, I can tell you that the nurses will give her the best of care. I was also employed in a medical field for 26yrs, so I have a bit of experience. Healthcare insurers, OTOH, are pariahs just waiting to drop coverage for any reason and as fast as they can. Just happened to me.

I'll say a prayer for you.

Thank you very much.

I'm really not in a right frame of mind now to be posting anything, as you can understand. Tired, can't sleep, searching the internet for information.

I'm terribly sorry to hear this. God bless her, you, and your family. I wish you guys the best in this tough time.

Prayers sent.

I'm a dad, too. I can only imagine all the things going through your head. Get some rest, your little girl needs you to lean on. Be strong enough for your family. Praying for you and your wife as well as your little girl.

JR,

My prayers today are for your daughter, you, and your family. I can totally relate to your being blindsided -- do get some time off, and gather friends for support.

My prayers are with her, you and the rest of your family. I have two little girls and my two year old (not even two at the time) was in the hospital with a "virus" twice last winter. I love how they can say virus and never give you a real answer. It's hard when your kids are sick but I'm sure she will get great care. Keep us posted.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Have faith, the MD's at Children's Hospitals should have wing, the offer amazing care!

Prayers going up, for her and for you. Try webmd.com for medical info. The site itself isn't as good as it used to be, because it tries to be everything to everybody but it gives good links. Also try the Cleveland Clinic website (google to get it).
