Okay, so I'm at the local gunshow yesterday with a little cash burning a hole in my pocket. Not enough for a gun, but ammo, accessories and maybe a little beef jerky. :neener: A long time ago, I had a CZ-75 knock-off, the EAA Witness. Not bad, but became very disenchanted with the 9mm so I sold it. Anyhow, walking toward the exit, I see another EAA, this one used, held by a mid-fifties guy who looked to be wishing he were anywhere but there. I stopped, took a look at it, noticed it was chambered for .40 S&W (which I know nothing about) and asked a price. Walked away with it for $290.

So, what's the difference between my old Witness and this one marked "Tanfoglio"?

No ammo yet, but I'm assuming the original mag is ten rounds. Are hi-caps available?

What's the skinny on the .40 S&W? Innovative, or new packaging on old ballistics?

Witness is a Tanfoglio. So is TA90, the old TZ75, Springfield P9, FIE Excam, and the new Sarsilmaz.Good guns.

    .40 S&W

    1911 Guy,
I'll let you look up the ballistics. I just got a FN HP in .40 S&W. I'd say the cartridge is 'snappy' in describing the recoil. I ended up putting some Pachmayr wrap around grips on the FN and really like it.
    Best,
    Rob

Oh man....for another $20 or so, you could have bought a Rock Island Armory 1911A1...... ;) Don't know anything about the gun (Witness) nor the caliber (.40), but I hope you enjoy it. :D
