Hi all,

I've been out of town for the past two months, but am back and planning to go to the gunshow at George R Brown this weekend. I handled a CZ P07 Duty at Academy this evening, which I like, but think that I can do better than $449. Has anyone seen it for under $400 at the shows here? Thanks!

Carter's country (Houston) had it for $399 two weeks ago so they might run it again at that price.

Ah, thanks for the heads up. I'll give Carter Country a call tomorrow and will definitely pick it up if I can get it for $399.

Well, I couldn't find any decent deals at the Houston gun stores, so I hit the gunshow yesterday, where I picked up a NIB CZ75 P-07 and an old Smith & Wesson 64 snubnose in mint condition.

The revolver is stamped D.P.D. -- Dallas, Denver, Detroit? What's the approximate manufacture year of serial number D7973xx ? It's a 64 with no dash.

My only beef with the P-07s has been of the rather abrassive polymer grip (not too pleasant to hold), but the newer P-07s have a much smoother grip. I haven't shot it yet, so I'll find out if the infamous bulge, as reported on earlier models, appears during shooting sessions. The magazine does not drop free, not sure if it's supposed to, but doesn't bother me. The trigger pull is very nice. Good gun!

Here's a photo of my toys.
