How about Hickock 45?

That's one aspect I enjoy about Hickock45. One doesn't have to be in "operator" mode to enjoy shooting. Watching the many others the feel is that one has to be in full tactical mission mode to be in the sport.

Also enjoy watching Mrgunsgear's videos for similar simple reasons.

So THR is a public forum so how about posting your address so we can visit you whenever we want to unannounced?
We should carpool to go for a visit. Drinks are on Machine Shop Dude.

Yeah, Hikock45 may post videos but I think he is entitled to his privacy. When did he ever say that that his viewers had an open invitation to come to his home? He has said many times if you see him on the street, it's fine to say hello, and you have to be prepared for that if you are a celebrity, major or minor, but generally I don't think they are ok with people showing up at their door.

I would love to visit Jessica Biel at home. I mean really............... Think about that. Once I'm arrested and prosecuted for trespassing and possibly stalking of some kind, what's my defense going to be? "Well your honor, she helps make movies she's the star off, so why can't I just go to her house? She's a celebrity and promoting herself, so shouldn't I be able to just show up and expect her to want to talk to me? She didn't even offer me coffee or show me around her house! This entire trial is silly!"

I bet he was an incredible teacher. He doesn't beat reviews to death and is literally having fun shooting with his son. I need to rewatch his talk on accuracy but if i remember boils down to more fun than shooting a tiny dot on paper. I set up a mini range with 5 gongs at different ranger on that thought. Way more fun than shooting for groups. Still anyone than can shoot the gong no matter how bug with a little Taurus and double action a revolver on a pig is my hero and exactly what i want. Entertainment with a little review if the gun.

His cleaning videos in his reloading room shows he is a normal hoarder like most of us.

^same here. I've seen them all. All the styles. From the over the top, to the obvious first time owner recording at his "kitchen counter" as they say.

Hickok45 is exactly what I'm looking to watch. Stats and extreme specifics can be done in one Google search. Hickok45 has an honest, unbiased (aside from the g19-which I've heard him say hypothetically if the sig p320 would have came out around the time he got into to glock, he may have took the sig route) but he admits to being biased while admitting another brand might be better. That's impossible for most glock fans. Gives reviews that speak to myself, the average joe. Just relaxing to watch. And a little humor there too. He won't hesitate to make fun of himself. Rare quality. Great channel.

Yeah, lemme tell you about Hickok45, but before I do I want to thank Buds Gun Shop for being a business that sells guns. Even though their customer service is terrible and their prices are the same as everyone else, they give me money to say only good things about them.

Hickok was the youtube guy that really got me into guns, but after you get past the rookie phase and delve deeper into things, he's not the best in that regard. Like for reloading he's done a couple videos, but he doesn't do enough and when Federal ammo makes such great ammo like American Eagle, Hydra Shock, Fusion, Champion, and other wonderful range food, who needs to bother with reloading anymore? I mean, if you want to shoot .44-40, a cartridge Federal doesn't load for, I guess you'd want to start reloading. I'd rather shoot free ammo, including the 10mm that Federal makes because that stuff is just really good. I mean, if you're not shooting Federal 10mm Auto, you may as well be shooting .40 S&W.

Speaking of forty, did you know that's all it costs to become a member of the NRA? For only two Jacksons, you can join us in Gun Heaven with Gun Jesus (not Ian McCollum because he didn't take our money and became a shill) and pay for an organization that will surrender your gun rights so they can justify asking you for more money to get you those rights back. I mean, do we really want to fall on our swords over bump stocks?

At this point, I've seen enough guns and gun videos to understand the guns I've bought are going to serve me well. The videos I enjoy watching HIckok do most have been muzzleloading videos or black powder cartridge guns of the 19th Century. I refuse to watch another AR or 1911 video, when all it is is a guy shooting them, they're all the same.

By the way, join us on Patreon, SDI, Vault Tek safes, Liberty Safe, Ballistol, Babba Booey Babba Booey

Now that I think about it, one of my favorite things about hickock45 is that he just rolls the camera and shows all his misses, and they position the camera so you always see both the shooter and the target.

I've seen channels where its just some guy making a rapid fire "selfie" off into nothing. Or guys that seem to never miss any shot. Or guys, that if they do miss a shot, they start getting all pissed off and acting like they never missed befor.

Hit or miss, Hickock just takes another shot. Sometimes he misses a really close shot, sometimes he makes a real nice long shot. We see it all, guy is just real comfortable with himself as a shooter and it seems to be no big deal to him what we think about it.

TTv2, I don't know if you realize this but youtube has cut off advertising revenue to gun related channels. I'm glad that some of these companies are sponsoring him.

I'm well aware of that and I'm fine with an ammo manufacturer providing ammo to shoot, that and the guns, but after that Hickok went overboard with everything else, the NRA especially. I could live with the safes and SDI and now he has a Patreon going, but the NRA is a bridge too far and Hickok has gone on record to say that giving money to rival gun organizations is a waste of money.

To me, that's shilling. If Hickok was being real, he'd say go join every organization you can afford to be a member of, but because the NRA is stuffing his coffers now Hickok has lost that opinion. Also, for a guy who featured bump stocks in his videos to saying "do we really want to fall on our swords over bump stocks?" tells me that he again was forced to toe the line with the NRA.

Because the NRA's idea wasn't to work with Republicans to draft a bill that classified bump stocks as destructive devices or other NFA item and in return deregulate suppressors or abolish the Hughes Amendment, Hickok couldn't support that idea like a lot of people have. No, instead Hickok just did what Big Daddy Wayne said because Daddy Wayne's money holds a lot of power over Hickok.

So the thing to take away from that is either Hickok can't say what he really thinks if it's not in lock step with the NRA because he doens't want to lose money or Hickok really believes that bump stocks should be banned without compromising with the Anti's.

Whatever it is, Hickok looks more and more like a Fudd who really doesn't care about the individual rights of the 2nd Amendment. Whatever is politically expedient for the NRA, if it infringes on YOUR right, you won't hear a peep about it from Hickok.

But you know what? Maybe I shouldn't expect anything like that out of a Youtube channel. Maybe I should just watch the videos of the guy shooting and skip over the first 3 minutes of adverts and shout outs to companies for giving him stuff. I guess I can like some of his videos, but as a person, Hickok45 is not someone I like or trust.

I look for a hickok45 video on a gun before I consider buying it. I never get tired of the pot smoking, and videos giving an honest review without annoying biases saying X is the best ever and all other choices are inferior.

The drive by shooting of 2 liters on a mountain bike with an MG is one of my favorites, but I am easily entertained like that.

Pretty nice for some people the world is very black and white....too bad in the real world there are many shades of gray.

The advertising monitization does that for many channels and we'll see a shift in those creators videos as they get that sponsorship. I tire of seeing watches, cell phone cases, T-shirts from other channels too. The old videos from many of those creators were good viewing without the ad placements-hawking. People that choose this as a source of income have to milk it so at the end of the day, that's how they some cover expenses to continue creating videos. There are plenty that just strike that "I'm tired of your stuff" feeling so I go on and see what others put out.

I can enjoy his videos for the simplified view of a guy out enjoying a vararity of firearms.

I dont mind the small shout outs for companies. If all I had to do is say "I'd like to thank buds guns" or "we thank federal for the ammunition" and it got me free guns and bullets, I'd be saying it to everyone I met. Why not. "Would you like fries with your burger?" "Yes and by the way I'd just like to thank federal ammunition today too". Bam, free bullets.

My Dad used to say, whenever passing by a cemetery: "There's the dead center of town, people are just dying to get in."

And yes, my kids tired of hearing me say the same thing.
