hello,
i have a ruger p97dc and i need to adjust the sights on it it is shooting 5" to the right and 4" high, there is a set screw on the rear sight but i took it out and i cannot get it to move side to side are there a special process to set this gun?,
thanks,
jon

To adjust windage you need to loosen the set screw then "drift" the sight with a brass or aluminum punch and a hammer (or better yet a sight adj. tool). If you`re not comfy with that any gunsmith can do it in a minute. At adjust elevation you need to replace the rear sight with a taller or shorter one from Ruger. When I did it on mine I called expecting to pay for it but they sent me one for free. :) Changing the rear sight is probably best left to a gunsmith as there are 2 little pins under the rear sight that can be sheared off if you don`t have them in the right position (don`t ask me how I know! :banghead: ).
