yeah, yeah, i know... "don't."
i've got here an ak of some sort; says it's made in romania and imported by cai, and the wood appears to be at least 50% lacquer. i've also got a chinese sks with surprisingly nice wood. both need to be returned to their owner soon, but i would like to clean them first - it's the least i can do for someone who let us use both rifles, a wingmaster, a glock 17 and a glock 23, a little beretta 32, a walther p99, a springfield operator, and let us shoot his ammo! the rifles may not strictly need cleaning, but i don't feel right returning them dirty. besides, it would be interesting to take them apart.
so what do i need to do? what constitutes field stripping for these beasties? i presume there's more to do than just wipe down the outside and clean out the bore.
