How do I get a non-colt lower to fit an older Colt upper with large pin size?

Is there any way I could attach a regular size pin lower to an older Colt upper with the larger pin size?

Either drill the lower or get bushings for the small pins.

Go here. Get the Offset Bushing listed about halfway down.

This is what we did back in 1984, Find a piece of copper tubing and cut it to size to fit into your lower. Take a drill bit and slowly open up the inside of the tubing until the pin fits. This was a common issue in building AR's from mixed parts

Just making sure, the link I provided to that 6520 Upper does in fact have the smaller pins, right? Even though it says new production?
