How do I go about..

    sending a gun to a licensed dealer? This is a M1 rifle that I am selling to someone.

    Call the dealer, make sure he's expecting the shipment, and knows who it's for etc.

    If it's a rifle, you can just ship it ground UPS or FED-EX, you can even ship a long-gun USPS to an FFL, but the paperwork is not worth the hassle.

    I'd reccomend labling the package if it's to "Mr. Smith's Shooting Emporium", or "Guns R Us Inc." etc. to lable it "Mr. Smith's S.E." or "G.R.U.I", so there's no confusion as to the destination or who the package is for on the recieving end, but they guys in the warehouses aren't clued into it being a gun and don't steal it.
