I was looking at one and it didn't look like you could just knock em off to the side like on other pistols.

    Just wondering how it's done.

The rear sight should drift out to the side. The front sight is held on by a staked tenon. You need to properly support the slide and knock it out from the underside with an appropriate size punch. Sometimes you can pry them off with vise-grips, but you risk damaging the outside of the slide.
