I'm sure this has been covered before, but I'm new to the forum... I'm just curious what California does to try and justify it?

Thank God I don't live in California, but I have friends that do and they are all amazed at how I can legally carry a concealed weapon where I live. Living in America, I didn't think that was something one should be "amazed" to discover.

Oh, and I heard that some Judge in California ruled that the 2nd amendment didn't apply to ordinary citizens. Anyone know if that is true and the story behind it?

It is true, all of it.

They get away with it because the majority of the voters are supporters of the "welfare state" mentality, and the politicians in both parties can be bought and sold by anyone with money. A bunch or state legislators were investigated by the FBI in the nineties and more than one went to jail.

They "get away with it" my friend because so far The People have allowed them to.

The 2nd amendment was designed for just such a situation. The People of the PRK should use that right to restore the rest before they have none left.

:banghead:

Until the real Supremes step up, the Ninth Circuit Court will get away with it. BTW, the good news is that the 9th Circus is the most overturned over all. Let's hope that that tradition isn't broken on the 2nd Amendment issue.

They get away with it because of the leftist, Hollyweird mentality, coupled with more and more imported proles who, for a free (to them) government handout will vote again and again for ever increasing tyranny.

Or the climate.:scrutiny:

Polls!

The people here don't VOTE. And the ones that do follow the socialist propaganda served up by those already in power. I felt like I wanted to vomit when I was standing in line at the polls this past November. I kept overhearing conversations about how hopeful people were that Davis could pull out a victory. I knew Simon didn't have a chance. I didn't even like the guy that much, but I still voted for him. And yet not a single one of my "gun enthusiast" friends could be bothered to go vote. That's what's wrong here.

I forget the author, but the saying goes, "Any government that promises to rob Peter to pay Paul can always count on Paul's vote!" That's what we got here in CA. A state legislature, governor, and judiciary filled to the brim with leftist loonies, blithering blissninnies, and statist stalwarts of social engineering. If it weren't so danged tragic it'd be just plain SILLY!

All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

I miss the mild weather in the San Francisco Bay area and the beaches; my only regret about leaving the People's Republic of California to return to the United States this past summer is that I didn't do it years ago.

Too many Non English speaking residents in the PRK. Too many 3rd and 4th generation welfare families. Too many leftist liberals.
Is it any wonder the 9th rules the way it does. It reflects the yiews of its constituants

California is easy to understand.

Unlike most states, the California state constitution DOES NOT include a RKBA clause. As a consequence, the citizens cannot challenge "gun control" laws in the state courts. Their only option is in the federal court. The liberals who dominate the state legislature also dominate the Federal 9th circus. Until the Supreme Court overrules the 9th, Californians have no hope. The government there is too solidly liberal to vote for any reasonable change in the near future.

However, the "f*** you" option is still available.

I'm reporting live from occupied California. Most blissninnies are
hoping for some kind of soccermom, yuppie utopia.Their absolutely
clueless about whats going on around them.If I try discussing
the news or world events, their eyes just glaze over.If they find out your a Republican, "AAAAGGGHHH,honey, grab the kids,Hes a,rightwing, guntoting, whalekilling, treecutting, big oil, racist,
REPUBLICAN!!!
Thus ends that conversation.
Thats whats kind of funny.Their always shouting about diversity,
except when it doesn't agree with their thinking.

One of my favorite bumperstickers....

I think, therefore I vote Republican!

I think the state of affairs in California is most unfortunate. It certainly has some beautiful scenery and weather. But the liberals keep blocking the view.....

Mr. F

The same thing that is wrong with New Jeresy.

1) gun owners do not bother to vote
2) no state RKBA clause as stated above
3) politicians promise the world to the welfare class
4) politicians are never held accountable
5) there are only Democrats and RINO's in this state

but most importantly.........

GUNOWNERS DO NOT BOTHER TO VOTE!:fire:
