How good is your gun warranty?

When was the last time you read a gun warranty?......Went through some of mine and here are some things that will void your warranty.

-Use of non-factory ammunition. (ie: reloaded ammo)
-Any finish that did not originally come from the manufacturer.
-Addition of accessories.
-Addition of any accessory that isn't offered by the gun maker.

One company does not even offer a warranty....guess they take each one on an idividual basis.

From the looks of it, I've pretty well voided all my guns....I still have one that has a lifetime warranty, Browning Superposed.

Due to the nature of the product, most manufacturers will not give a written warrenty, but will still fix the gun for life.

I think Ruger has a good Warranty ,I sent back a MK-2 for a problem .Not only did they fix the problem but they reblued the gun for no-charge.

Kimber has excellent warranty and customer service. Exceptional.

None of my other guns have ever needed repair.

Kel-Tec has excellent warranty/customer service. You also don't have to be the original owner of the gun to get warranty service.

Like most competitive industries, the warranties are pretty much useless form th point you start using the product...BUT, most companies don't like creating ill will among their buying public so they will usually fix or replace w/in reason problems their customers have w/ their products. The cooperation level you receive is also dependent upon how a customer service rep is initially addressed. If spoken to professionally, calmly and quietly you'll usually receive better service than if you start off the conversation angrily & yelling.
I've had some really good responses from c/s reps by taking this approach.
