It's been 71 days since I applied for my Arkansas CHL and I've heard it can take as long as 120. It shouldn't take that long to process anything.
How long was your wait(and what state are you from)?

Washington State. Got printed on a Friday, had permit in the mail the following Monday afternoon. The benefits of clean living, I guess.

    Greeting's All-

Way back yonder in 1968, seems like I turned the
application in around 0800 hrs to the Jefferson Co.*
Sheriff's Office; and before 1700 hrs that day, my
CCW license was in my hand!:D :uhoh: :) Cost?
Came to a grand total of $7.50. And here in 2003,
thanks to our good sheriff Mike Hale; it's still at
$7.50, and its still good for one year!

    *Birmingham (Jefferson County) Alabama

NC here....first time it was 90 days. My most recent renewal was about 60....and they didn't call me to tell me it was ready until after my original permit had been expired for a few days.

PA, I got mine in 4 weeks and only cause I knew a person in the sheriffs office who told me that I was approved and could go get my picture and card. The post card telling me so took a total of 5 weeks to go 6 blocks from court house to my house.

PA (the city) it took 8 months for a freakin' RENEWAL!

Fee paid over, photo and finger prints done over, same forms- everything as though you never had license to begin with.

    120days

It took me 120 days to Get mine here in Texas, Because I forgot to write in one of my employer's Phone numbers from 5 years ago. They Noticed that 30 days in. They sent it back to me I corrected it fed-ex'ed back Priority, they had it the next day. I called them on the status , and they told me My 90 day wait had restarted. But I finally got it to the day they said I would. It was a Great Day.

I am a MD subject, but luckily they could not stop me from getting a Utah Concealed Hangun Permit (valid in VA). (Should have seen the expression on the faces in the Maryland State Police barracks when I said I needed fingerprints for my out of state CHP - where is my camera when I need it?).

From the day I mailed off the application at the post office, to the day I recieved my permit in the mail from the FINE state of Utah? FIVE WEEKS. Not bad at all, considering I am a non-resident, and did not have to leave the confines of my beloved Maryland to get it.

    Boltaction

PS: My thanks to the citizens of Utah for respecting my rights more than my home state does. Thanks Utah highroaders.
