How long do you tumble your brass to get it clean?
I have heard that the ammonia in Brasso will weaken the brass.I use corn cob and a dash of Brasso.
I have heard the same thing. I don't have any personal experience or proof but IMO there are too many good products on the market to take the chance. I tumble for two hours in walnut with 1/2 cap full of Nu Finish car polish and a paper towel tore into 8 pieces. After two hours they come out clean and shiny.I have heard that the ammonia in Brasso will weaken the brass.
Man I like being retired.

I have been doing it this way for over 20 years and no ill effects. It is made for brass so why would it hurt it?
It is made for brass. Not brass that is subjected to high pressure. People have reported that they have noticed no short term effects. When the ammo is loaded and stored a few years the problems start.I have been doing it this way for over 20 years and no ill effects. It is made for brass so why would it hurt it?
That all?. I have forgotten about the tumbler in the shed out back for days..I forgot I had some brass in the tumbler the other day and it ran for about 8 hours
