for you navy guys/gals,,,

(ive posted this on thr beforebut want to try again)

my friend dick z (academy class of '65) has a sea story forum that he's trying to get more activity on.

it comes up as a uss buchanan snipe story forum but there are places for any kind of story you want to tell regardless of what ship(s) you served on, just don't scare the lifers too much.

or if you just want to read there is plenty there on all topics of navy life from both officers and enlisted men.

theres also a cool virtual tour of an adams class destroyer.

all of the stories were posted by dick, so it appears he is the only contributor.

when you open the story the real author is credited

register and tell a tale if youd like, i KNOW it would make him a happy camper, he worked really hard on it

the uss cochrane folks are kind enough to host it for him.

www.usscochrane.com/ddg14/forum/default.asp

i also have 2 free copies of a book he compiled of stories from the academy class of '65, the first class to graduate into the vietnam war.

if you are interested, i'd be glad to send one along to you. i'll even pick up the tab on postage

p/m or email me

:D

German Army, 1989-1993.

Basic training at the International Long Range Reconaissance Patrol School in Weingarten, Germany (near Lake Constance).

After basic, I served in the 300th Long Range Reconaissance Patrol Co., in Fritzlar, Germany. For the last two years of my service, I served in the 36th Army Aviation Regiment (Anti-Tank), also in Fritzlar.

Too many schools, assignments, and exercises in those four years to list them all here. Lots of silly stuff about jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, and wearing the soles off several sets of boots.
