  1. Small, fixed blade skinner in Kydex sheath attached to my keys. This was made from a blade from Jantz Supply and is very thin and light.
  2. SwissTech UTILI-KEY on my keys. Most-used tool is the bottle opener. :)
  3. Victorinox "nerd tool" - I can't remember the model name, but it has a USB drive, scissors, small blade, pen, light, tweezers and toothpick
  4. Leatherman Tool -- the original model -- in my backpack

I occasionally carry one or more of the following when out and about:
  • KA-BAR TDI
  • Fixed blade made from a Japanese deba bocho knife. The wide, 3/16" thick blade is 5.25" long. It looks like a small, chunky chef's knife. I carry it IWB with a homemade Kydex sheath.
  • Victorinox Recruit
I try to avoid falling into deep water. :D

Dirty Bob

Generally I carry the following as EDC, there may be more or less as I feel fit.
  1. Victorinox Swiss Card (green, no light)
  2. 3" partially serrated tactical liner lock with pocket clip
  3. Buck 373 Stockman (orginal model with 440C steel) or Victorinox Spartan

Strider PT in case I need to open small packages at work ( as it wont scare the sheeple. )

Strider AR ( in case I need to open a SUV ;) ).

Rinaldi Matrix - just because.

I will also occasionally EDC a small necker from Jim Burke.

I carry a small Swiss Army knife on my keychain and a Emerson CQC-7 or Emerson Commander clipped to my pocket. I also keep a couple knives in the trunk for emergencies. Glock field knife with Saw back, a Victorinox Swiss Army multi tool, somewhat like a Leatherman.....I think they call it the Swiss Multi tool but the actual name escapes me. A Glock Folding shovel is also back there. Do I count the folding bayonet on the Yugo 59/66 rifle I keep in the trunk? lol ;)

two.

Why? Well, two reasons:

1. As said above, two is one and one is none.

2. I carry a 'user' strong side and a defensive knife weak side. Weapon retention is so much easier if your opponent is bleeding from a stab through his ribcage. Or neck.

Depends.

Benchmade Striker 2 Auto goes where I go, no matter what. Sometimes the Cold Steel Spike rides along, too. I have a P-51 can opener in my wallet (a bigger P-38, basically), and my multi tool usually goes with me and has a couple of blades on it, too.

If I'm going to be crashing around the bush I bring a machete or one-piece short sword.

Old Timer Stockman - clip, sheepsfoot, spey

CRKT M16-13Z

Smith and Wesson HRT2B - Hawkbill Neck Knife

And I can relate to judging a knife by its ability to seperate me from my body parts. I have more than a few I've blooded. I have a nice fixed blade that got ornery one day and tried to remove my left index finger. That would have sucked, because that's my favorite booger hook.

Either my claw point folder 6" (total) or my IX Tanto 14.5". Sometimes both depends on my mood.:)

They are usually backup to my glock so not usually a need for both.

Two Knives Carried

I keep a Ken Onion Leek in my back pocket for serious cutting and a small Case lockback in my side pocket for small jobs--packages, cord, opening cd cases!

Depends on the situation

At work I carry my issue knife - similar to a victoronix 'soldier', only infinitely older.
Hunting - a dagger in the alpinestar bike boots and a belt knife for knocking off pig legs for dog tucker. each have a minimum 6.5" blade of either drop point, bowie or upswept skinner.
All the time - any folder thats appropriate, most times its a buck 110 or my issue knife.

I make my own hunting blades or buy something that I like and bastardise it to make it 'better' (hopefully). I get a kick out of taking something thats so almost there and making it that much better.

If your wondering why I have a dagger stuffed down a pair of motor cross boots for hunting, well it's like this in OZ(thats where i am) when we hunt we have to cover a lot of territory. in my case on my parents property, it's acase of feral animal eradication - not stalking around for a once in a lifetime trophy. So if I happen to stir up a porker onto some open country I just ride up beside him and hook my left leg into his flank, which locks him into the side of the bike. Then it's just a simple matter of pulling the dagger from your boot and sticking him or tying him up, whatever the situation calls for (gunshots may spook everything in the vicinity). The ferals are used to the sounds of a bike or quad, but not guns.
Cheers

I just added a Benchmade Morpho 32 to the stable. :D

Not that any of you care. But it changes my knife total, because I keep it around to play with at the office.

I try to have a multi-tool handy every day, so technically there is one blade.
But I always have an actual blade on me at all times.Off work, I usually carry a folder, my favorite being a Timberline Knives pistol grip, a gift from a friend.
The rest of the time, it is always a small fixed-blade: either a Shomer-Tec Titanium Companion

or a Relentless Knives M-2 Talon

Don't even get me started on what I might carry outside of the city limits or if a bug-out situation arises.

A new one for EDC-Xikar Extreme w/Cocobolo onlays. Very low profile clip and merely takes a light flick to open.

Spyderco Police, for me. If I'm worried about blade length, either the Rookie or the Calypso Jr. gets carried.

All plainedge, with stainless handles.

If I need a beater knife for cardboard, carpet, trashbags, etc. the Harpy gets to come along.

Ka-Bar whilst hunting.

Two. I carry a Ka-Bar TDI in my front left pocket and an inexpensive folder in my back pocket for everyday utility.

If you're not familiar with the TDI, check it out. It was designed specifically for handgun retention. Also, if anyone ever grabbed you from behind, it could prove to be quite usefull.

Welcome to THR culpritish! How'd you find us?

Hello, hso, and thank you for the welcome.
I belive I found THR on Blade Forums, but don't quote me on that, as I have seen this site mentioned elsewhere.

RioShooter,

How easily can you pull your TDI from a front pocket without cutting your pants? Do you have to use a special technique to draw it?
