i'm registered for the NTI and P100 and on wait list for M16.

My understanding is that the P100 is a 30-shot course of fire, NTI is 50-shot, and M16 is 45 shot (but you use issued ammo)

Since you're not allowed sighters in the P100 and NTI, that's only 80 rounds. And specifically, 50 rnds at 200/300 yrds and 30 rnds at 600.

I'm planning to bring 100 rnds of 200/300 yrd ammo (69g) and 60 rnds of my 600 yrd ammo (80g).

    i.e twice what I think I need.

I'm assuming that will cover me for alibis etc.

Does this seem reasonable? too much? too little?

I guess I'm concerned that I'll get up there and find some opportunity to shoot a bunch more, and not have enough ammo. On the other hand, I'll only be there the three days, and don't want to haul around 1000 rnds "just in case"

I'd say twice what you need should do it. The only exception is if your able to shoot one of the squadded practices. I'm not sure if you register for those ahead of time or if their "first come - first served."

Heck, AR ammo is light. Bring 3x what you need and you know you'll be covered. (You could only bring 2x what you need at the time out to the line though. Just replace the first ammo you fire with your last set of spare rounds when you go back to your lodging)

Monday is squadded pracitice and you can shoot one string off hand and one string rapid sit. If you do not have zeros for Perry the squadded practice is a good idea. It starts moday at about noon'ish. That in Camp Perry terms means about 2pm.

If you are going to stay all week you might be able to put an out of competition team together for NTT and NTIT. If you think that is at all possible I would say bring some more ammo. enough for another 50NMC and then another 100 just in case for NTIT.
