I just got back from a nearby gun show. I went for just a gander. Perhaps to buy a new milsurp. Instead I found myself searching for .30-06. I went through every table finding mostly winchester and remington. I was hoping not to pay more then $10 a box. Luckily I found some guy selling Korean .30-06. I looked closely for a while then I decided to buy some. It is 150gr. berdan primed, very clean. I bought 100 rounds for $28. Is this an ok deal or could I get a better deal.

Best I've seen Korean was $4.95/20...you did OK.

Out of my Garand, the Korean is feeble and dirty, but comes in good reloadable brass.

Regular commercial PMC is MUCH better, but more expensive. (Same factory)

Is this stuff steel cored and/or steel jacketed?

Sactown, are you keeping quiet because you want to keep your post count at 308?

Don't know. The ranges up here don't check to see if it's steel core or steel jacket. I'm running a FIFO system on my 30.06 ammo and the Korean stuff was purchased last.

Neither, I think, it's regular M2 ball. I bought 384 rounds in M1 clips at the Tulsa gun show for $105.

All the Korean stuff I've seen is boxer primed.

I got the Korean M2 Ball

made by PMC, 89.95 for 400 rd in boxes in ammo can, headstamp 75. It's all boxer primed, don't know re: steel core. Accuracy was excellent in my M1, and I didn't find it particularly dirty or feeble. It's a bargain. I should get more.
