I did that when i new the cop approaching my car. He's a guy i work with. He didn't actually pull me over, just flashed his lights and walked up to chat. He came up, Ice Cube blasting "Can i help you officer?"

Go to http://www.speedbit.com/DAP7/DefaultT.asp? and download the Download Accelerator Plus. It's free. It allows you to schedule downloads in the middle of the night and then it will shut down your computer if you want it to. You can download numerous files at the same time and it will look for mirror sites to download from simultaneously. If your download is interruped, it resumes where the file left off.

Example: Last night, I went to the thread at http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=56369 and there was a site for MPG downloads at http://www.gulfcoastarmory.com/mgvids.html . I right clicked and selected "download all with DAP". It selected 95 files. I then clicked on "add to queue". I then scheduled a download at 2AM and instructed the program to shut down the computer upon completion. When I got up this morning, I had 95 short MPGs to watch.

It speeds up not only modem connections but broadband as well. A must-have for anyone who downloads a lot of files.
