I've done the Ruger letter the last two week and have received responses from the Republican members of my governmental leadership but non from the left. Are you guys pounding away at everyone regularly or just the anti's? Just want to know a general range.

I did ruger, and sent another letter that I posted earlier in general discussions. heres mine for tx :To the Texas Governor,Texans, and Americans across the world-
My name is Robert Sauceda,Im no one special, Just an ordinary guy trying to reach the american dream witch so few people don't believe in anymore. I love my family,my state,my country, and my fellow man, Yet I find myself having to struggle for my natural right to bear arms. Arms used for hunting, the preservation of life, In defense of my beloved country and as a last resort against tyranny which can corrupt any government. Arms regulation does nothing to curb violence as history shows, in fact in attributes to violence as we see in chicago and our nations capital which have the nations' highest murder rates and strictest gun laws.Let History never forget atrocities done to unarmed men and women. Why are some members of congress now abusing the powers that we the people have given them to draft unconstitutional laws? As Americans we say “we the people, for the people, by the people.” But recently its been against the people. How can congress as lawmakers define an amendment entails when the words “ shall not be infringed” are so clearly etched into paper and stone. I now call on you for the enemy is at the gates in the form of legislation, In those hallowed words of Colonel Travis ". I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid, with all dispatch."I call on you as my friend, my neighbor, my brother."If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible and die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country. Victory or Death."

I cant help but feel that the liberal democrats(yes not all democrats are liberal) wont respond because theyre afraid to admit that the majority of this country doesnt want this bill to go through

I've sent email, written letters and called my U.S. Rep and Senators. I’m getting ready for another round but first I have to twist some political arms at the state level. I don't think we can be in their ear too much.

I sent emails when this all started, and then used the Ruger thing. Now I am basically targeting legislation. As it comes up, I send letters to those appropriate, and respond when they do.

I sent a dozen handwritten letters on yellow legal paper this morning, to local, state, and federal gov't members, and will do the Ruger page 2-3 times a week. I used the Ruger page to get a list of ones to hand-write, and added Boehner and Pelosi.

I dont think pelosi gives a crap about us. I think we should not only contact our states reps but others as well. After this is a national thing not state. It affects us all. The New Yorker,Texan,Eskimo,Okie, all of us

I've been using congress.org to send a letter to all my reps at once. I've written probably 12 letters in the past 5 weeks and donated to the NRA-ILA fund.

I've been sending e-mails and calling their offices and asking to speak with them, they're never available of course, but then I speak to the senior staffer and follow up by e-mail. I get names of who I spoke with and I also ask that my Rep contact me about the issue.:D I do this 2-3 times a week, and I'm going to start dropping by their offices, (that are within driving distance), and speaking to the staff there. Small, vocal groups have managed to change a lot of things in this country.... our problem is we're too quiet.

I send two a day to my federal and state legislators. I use the Ruger site and the NRA site. I have only received replies from my federal representative and one federal Senator (dimwit Durbin). From state legislators, I receive replies from the Lt. Gov. and my representative.
The state & federal representatives support 2nd amendment, the rest do not.

    Just my never-so-humble-opinion

I believe that phone calls and snail-mail letters are more effective.

I use the Ruger tool too, but do not consider it a substitute for something with a stamp.

At this point, I've sent about six dozen letters and emails, made 8 phone calls, and upped my NRA membership by another level.

I plan on continuing this until the anti-gun mob lays off of their vendetta against us and Feinstein's bill lays rotting in committee.

My father's Congressman just wrote him this very encouraging letter-

I wish that all of our representatives were as pro-2A as this Congressman is.

Wife and I do it every 2-3 days using NRA and Ruger. Guess that would make it a quadruple tap.

Have done the Ruger, NRA-ILA and GOA websites as well as composing my own emails before the Aurora or Newtown tragedies. Pretty much been emailing or writing my reps and senators for the last couple of years. The writing has been on the wall. I just wish I would have had the funds to stock up on more ammo.

I'm doing custom letters of my own draft discussing pending bills. I think things are too important now to rely on form letters. Though they are certainly better than nothing. And an email is better than nothing, too.

Actually, Thomas Jefferson was quoting from Cesare Bonesana's Treatise, Of Crimes and Punishments:

To which I like to add the quote from Thomas Paine, taken from an article he wrote entitled "Thoughts on Defensive War," even though it deals with nations instead of individuals. The principle is the same in either situation:

I prefer to write my own letters, phone calls, emails, and faxes. I actually rely quite heavily on faxes; they're a bit more difficult to just sweep under the rug.

Ive been writing each of my senators, my rep, and the speaker at least once a week. I'm still staying on top of them to remind them we are watching, especially one of my senators that I could see being pulled into supporting universal BG checks. Recently though, Ive been sending emails to people when specific legislation gets proposed or if I just feel like I haven't talked to them in a few days :D.

    Idaho Yay!
I bug all my congress critters about 2-3 times a week. Starting on the state guy's asking why Idaho hasn't followed Wyoming's lead yet. Rumor is a few of our state reps are working on something like Wyoming. So if you're in Idaho time to lean on our state reps guys... and our Sheriff's Why have only 2 stepped up for Idaho for Pete sake!

Oh yeah and Idaho guys join https://www.facebook.com/GunRightsAcrossAmericaIdaho and https://www.facebook.com/pages/Idaho-Open-Carry-IOC/281419468557530?ref=ts&fref=ts if you have Facebook to stay in the loop. heck you can even make a fake Facebook just to keep updated on what we are all up to.
