I'm looking for an SWD m-11/9 because there are so many large and medium uppers for it and itso compact in stock form. How should I go about finding a seller? Wich websites should I post on?

Sturmgewehr.com is good, also subguns.com There should be quite a few on both sites.

I second Sturmgewehr.com. They have a few M-11/9s each week it seems. Or look up Ruben Mendiola's site. He usually has one or two. Well respected broker, but will cost more than a private seller.

What's the deal withe the SWDs running $1500 more than the Ingrams? I thought that the Ingrams were starting to acquire some collector value and the clones were still commodity? Is it the ton of uppers for the 11/9?

According to my research the various m11s are getting more rare and the m11/9 has a big enough ejecion port for .22lr conversion. Not sure that is worth another $1000-$1500. I'm leaning toward a M11A1 (still .380 but uses modified 9mm metal mags-1970's Zytel is not Nylon 6!) with a 9mm upper.

You are probably right about the collector value of the Ingrams. But the SWDs are still available NIB, so perhaps that has a bearing on the prices.

I signed, shook hands, and put down a deposit on a M11A1 in great shape this morning with an additional Flemming .22 upper (with extraction problems--they all need tuning). Deal is contingent on test fire (of the .380).

Going to get a Lage M31A upper (I believe the wait is down to 4 months). Seller is local and will let me shoot it during the long wait. I have tons of time to research how to get the Flemming running.

Congrats! I've got four different uppers for my SWD and a .22 conversion (one of Richard Lage's) as well as a couple of cans for it. Fun gun.

The M-31A wait is down to 2.5 months. I just got in line :)
