How Could I CCW a Smith and Wesson 39-2? I am not sure if anyone even makes a holster for the 39-2. Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

Here's a tip:

Practically any holster that handles the S&W double action 9mm or .40 pistols will take the Model 39 series. The size differences are in the grip area, and in some cases, the slide length. I really like the Bianchi "Minimalist" belt slide design.

If you want a full coverage holster made especially for your 39-2, here are some leads:

Go to the Bianchi Company's "Search" page and enter S&W Model 39 in the "All material" block, you'll find at least a dozen various models suitable for concealed carry. Click here.

Also check out the Galco online catalog area for the M39.

El Paso Saddlery has several models that look like they'd serve well. I suggest you look over their web site, get the models which interest you, and phone them to ask if they make that model for the M39. Last time I was at their factory, they had a truly amazing collection of aluminum dummy guns with which to fit holsters.

Safariland might be a good bet, but I'd suggest phoning them, as well.

Call Bachman Pawn & Gun at 214-351-3628. They have a decent selection of holsters, and can order anything you want. Gun Leather Co. in Fort Worth has a good selection of holsters, though their website is none too detailed. Phone: 817-334-0225.

These should get you started.

Best,
Johnny

I'm sure there are better, much nicer choices out there, but I used a Uncle Mikes #16 super belt slide for mine. It worked well, even surviving a motorcycle crash with damage only to the restraining strap, which Uncle Mikes replaced for free.

I like my 39-2.

Any 59xx or 4006 sized holster will fit the 39-2. I know because I had one and it is a great shooter. I switched to DAO and sold her and that was a mistake.
