I took out my Ishy 2A Enfield out a couple of weeks ago and it is dead on from shot to shot but is left. After looking at the front sight you can see it is off to the right. Does not appear to be a quick and easy way to move it.

So, how does one move the front sight on the gun? Because I can't see away other than force and I don't want to break it... help :banghead:

Thanks in advance. :)

ha. ha. <-not being mean.
I had the same question on my no1 mkIII not long ago.
The answer for me was buy a $70 sight drift, or use a hammer and a punch to knock the site over.

I choose the punch.

Loosen the front sight adjusting screw. It'll be in front of and below the front sight and looks like a reversed flatblade screw slot. You'll need to make a tool to loosen it as I've never seen one for sale. Try cutting a slot in a piece of drill rod.

After the screw is loose, tap the front sight opposite the direction you want the group to move: right is left, left is right.

Yes, Numrich had the actual sight tool for the reversed screwhead front sight screw - I have one, somewhere. The Brits did that to keep Tommy Atkins from messing his sights in the trenches.

Before you go crazy looking for a screw on your front sight there isn't one, they were only used on No4 rifles. Grab your trusty well-fitting common screwstick, remove the two screws holding the nose cap on and pull off the nose cap. Now comes the fun part of trying to tap the sight blade over a miniscule amount with a hammer and punch when it really doesn't want to move... or at least not just a little bit. Adjust it a little, reassemble and shoot a few rounds to find the new point of impact. Keep in mind if you're hitting left you want to move the front sight left and vice versa for right.

Thanks mukluk and all the others who posted. I think I will give it a try in a couple of days.

I guess I have to post pics...
