The matte finish on my NAA mini-revolver has quite a bit of holster wear. Basically, all the corners are shiney. Rather than bead blast it to restore the matte finish, I'm thinking I'd prefer to make the whole thing shiney.

How should I do this? Buffing wheel and rouge?

Yes, but you can round over the sharp edges this way. Another way to use tripoli or rouges is with a hard felt lap. It has slots so you can see through as the lap spins as you work underneath. You can hold razor sharp edges this way. (A trick I learned a long time ago in the jewelry industry)

If you use any buffs and rouges, use the proper rouges for the type metal you are polishing, start with the coarser and progress to the finer, and keep a seperate buff for each grit so you don't contiminate them.
