How would you spend $2000?

"Save a little more and buy a SIG P210."

I bought a surplus Swiss Army pistol from Top Gun Supply last fall. I love it.

This year I spent my $1999 on a leather recliner from Pottery Barn. That was the original price.

Got 10% off for making an appointment and going to the store to order. Got discounted shipping. Got a 10% store credit for the entire order (a sofa too) for signing up for a charge card. I haven't carried a credit card balance in decades, so that's not a problem. I can find something there to spend my $300+ store credit on.

Dern stuff is made in North Carolina still. Good for them.

On the other hand, there's a 28 ga. Browning Superposed at the gun store that I might like to have. They're marked it down from $6k to $4900.

Probably a weather by mark v in 257wby.

Maybe some older winchesters.

I've got all the pistols and shotguns I need.

Maybe a rare garand or Remington rand

In that same situation a few months ago, I went the AR-10 route. Remember, don't skimp on optics!

Thats more than I paid for my first car! But the sad thing is $2000.00 doesn't seem to go very far anymore. I just spent over $1700.00 on an AR and didn't get everything I wanted! :what: If I had another $2000.00 to spend on a gun, I'd probably buy a nice bolt gun in 300 rem mag with some good glass and a bipod. I think I'd like to do some long range shooting again. :D

2/3 down payment on forged LRB Arms 16" M14SA

Or

A 458 WM/Lott rifle $1500+tax+fee and about 4 boxes of ammo

1) S&W SD9
2) Beretta 21A
3) Weatherby Vanguard 308
4) Kel Tec SUB 2000 9mm carbine
5) Ruger SP101 or LCR in .22lr

Or

1) S&W SD9
2) Beretta 21A
3) Ruger SP101 or LCR in .22lr
4) Magnum Research 460 BFR S&W
Well I picked up the first 2 on my list this week.

SD9
Bobcat

I'd spend it on a custom AR build. Stripped lower, lower parts, upper, stock, grip, etc. Put it all together. Then I'd spend the rest on a good quality reflex optic, a durable BUIS, good sling, extra mags, some extra parts (BCG, bolt, firing pin, batteries for the optic, etc.) and finally lots of brass-cased ammo. That'll probably put me at around $2,000.

Well this will not help the OP in the least but I have a small list of what I call the "must haves" and I figured it up that just over 2k would completely fill my list of musts including good carry pistol, a bolt .22, bolt .308/ 30-06 , pump 12, 22 pistol to practice with that matches my carry weapon, and an AR/AK/FAL or some such "evil" rifle... after I fill my musts then there's the "I want one of everything" and the "do I feed the beasts in my cabinet or the beast in my belly?"

What I would do...

Get a Arsenal AK w/ magazines and ammunition and put the rest away into long term savings / investment.

If the house was payed off, and the work it needs was done, and I had that much extra money. uuuuuummmmmm.......New cymbal, and a custom build .338 Edge.

$2k? I'd be looking for a nice low end drilling. 2 x 16 gauge & 1 x either 7x57R or 9.3x74R.
20 gauge barrels would be ok, too.
