Howa 1500 stock on a Vanguard?

I recently (2 months ago) ordered a custom stock from Richards microfit gunstocks for a short action Howa 1500. I had/have planned to buy a barrelled action in either .308 or .243 to go with it. Now I have found a sale on a new weatherby vanguard .308. Can anyone verify that the stock will fit? I have read that the Vanguard and 1500 use the same actions.

YES they will interchange. Provided your going with the same action length.

I have put a Vanguard stock on a Howa and vise versa. MY vanguard 300wby currently wears a stock originally purchased for a Howa 6.5x55
