While searching for an answer to another thread, I found this thread on our predecessor forum, The Firing Line. In it was this picture of a 1.00 (yes, one inch!) BP revolver. Impressive, no? :D

1" - must use musket caps. 1 oz lead ball gets kinda expensive to hurl. It would have been the ideal weapon for the Revolutionary War. Waxhall (Buford's Massacre) would have had different results. By the way, where's the monopod for it?

    Holy cow.

Lets see... a 1 inch projectile.. lets call it 750 grains on top of 100 grs of powder per cylider...

That thing must weigh a ton loaded.

Is this real, or is it someone doing stupid things with Photoshop again?

If it is real, I'm impressed--I'm not sure that I could hold that thing in a one haded grip.

KC, see Mossyrock's comment in this thread. Looks like it's the real thing, all right.

It woild be a lot more than a 1oz ball. A 16 guage RB is 1 oz. I don't have a chart but I'd guess maybe 8 guage or 2 oz. Remember, guage is number of RBs to lb. That thing is 25% bigger diameter than 12 ga.:what:
