I voted for (I've Got Everything I Set Out To Get, More Or Less)
but it isn't because Ive been lucky. its because Ive worked my rear off.

There is very little I want and nothing that I "need".

Very Good (I've Had Many Great Opportunities I've Taken Advantage Of)

Pretty much sums it up.

I have quite a few nice pieces but I'll still be going for some time as there's always that next one around the corner I have to have :)

I'm 68 yrs old. I buy and very seldom sell. Guess I'm a collector. Right now I have 45
handguns with several having conversion barrels for a different calibers and my TC
Contender has 6 different calibers. So, the total is well over 50 if you count those.

I'm getting close to the end. I still want, for no real reason, a S&W 29. I have a Dan Wesson 44, so it's just because I always wanted one since '71. You know why.
I want a real CZ-75, in SS, I already have the clone in the avatar and 2 other clones, along with a couple of "close cousins", but I want a real CZ.
I want a 9mm Sig 229.
And I want a 4" S&W 28 to go along with the 6" one I got a month or so ago. That's about it for handguns.

Just recently I've begin selling some of my safe queens and other firearms I've just lost interest in which is something I thought I would never do. Most of them were bought new over the last twenty years or so. I've also come to the conclusion that as I get older D/A only revolvers are just not a good EDC choice for me and I've gone in another direction as far as my daily carry.
I have a modest collection of C&R eligible firearms. I have no plans to sell any of those and always have an eye open for another to add but I'm not as active in that area as I once was. I retire in November so that may change but I've got a couple of other hobbies that will probably put that on a back burner for awhile. One thing for sure is I will be getting a lot more range time.

I have two on my list of handguns left. One I expect to buy someday - a S&W Triple-Lock. One I don't ever expect to get - a S&W Registered Magnum

I have one (or more) of everything else I've really wanted.

You've scrimped and saved, traded and purchased, read reviews, handled the merchandise. You've had great guns, only to lose your mind and for inexplicable reasons that still aren't clear to you, let some golden ones slip through your fingers. You pound your head against the wall and say, "Why?"

Now, looking back, you have to ascertain your collection. Our ancestors would have been lucky to have one gun, much less two or three, and the ancients would have drowned in their own drool to see our collections. (Not to mention today's liberals who are just itching to pry them from your cold, dead fingers!)

So how are you doing? Looking at your collection today, do you have all the guns you've really made it a goal to own? Like that Smith & Wesson mint-66 (no dash)? Or the beautiful Colt Python? Beretta 92 Inox? S&W 63 Kit Gun? A stainless steel Korth .357? Everyone has their own list of guns they'd really love to own. And with most, it's a crap shoot. Some have fared well, being in the right place at the right time, while others have come in to the gun shop only to see an out-of-touch dealer wrapping up the deal of a lifetime for someone else!

So how's it coming for YOU? If you had to judge your progress so far, do you have everything you've set out to own? Or are you still working on it? I'm not talking about the fickle desires that come and go in life, but for the guns you have on your list to own before your die.

Take the poll and let's see. Then add a comment or two. Has Lady Fortune smiled on you or does she need to get off her fat arse and get cracking on your list?

We all want to know.

If you can, post the photo of the Number One gun on your list. It doesn't
have to be yours...just on your list.

I have few too many and want to reduce my inventory to two handguns a range gun and personal defense gun. I don't want to tie up my money in handguns. I know the 1911 .45 is staying as my range gun, but still have to cut the herd when it comes to carry weapon. I suspect the sole survivor will be G26.

My list is good, I have everything I NEED. Still a few things I'd like.

Mostly I'd like to upgrade my RIA 10mm to something like a DW Bruin (or similar longslide) and some form of double stack commander length 1911, maybe an STI.

Edit: forgot a SAO Sig P226 is on my list too, since they don't make a SAO 229

Ok so my firearm collection at this time is "Superb" I'm still looking for a Ruger #3 in .44Magnum, and perhaps a Ruger #1 in .270, 30-06, .243, or even ..223 to make it even more "Superb".

If this works I'll post photos that PB erased.
