After not being a fan of .223 for years i have one on the way.I know its a great cartridge but it just never appealed to me.If i didnt want to shoot 8mm,or 7.62x39 i went down to .22lr.Getting a Saiga limits me to 10 rounds but im fine with it.I doubt seriously that it will have a single problem unlike .223 SAR's which are likely to be real headaches.CDNN has them back in stock for $199.99!
    Saigas RRULLLLEEEEEEEEEEE!!!:D

Could always convert it to accept hi-cap mags. Several posts at ak-47.net about converting .223 Saigas to take the east german weiger mags. Barely any extra work over converting the 7.62x39 model to take hi-caps... When I finally get around to getting a Saiga (which I've been wanting to do for like a year but I always spend the money...) I'm thinking the .223 looks like the ticket. As you pointed out there aren't that many options for a cheap .223 AK.

    Exactly
An AR-15 or the like would be nice but a $200 Saiga will shoot just as good and im betting it will be less problematic.
